Diana E. (Smith) Standeford

Diana E. (Smith) Standeford, age 61 of Attica, IN died at 5:31 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Central in Lafayette, IN. Diana was born in Davenport, Iowa on November 9, 1949. She was the daughter of Chester Stanley and Frances Nadine (Pottorff) Smith. She attended school in Muscatine, Iowa. Diana married Wayne De Lap on December 29, 1965 in Aledo, IL. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1997. She then married Ron Standeford, Sr. on September 9, 2000 in Marshfield, IN. He survives. Diana had lived in Victorville, CA, Lake Havasu City, AZ, Attica, IN from 1997-1999 when she moved to Marshfield, IN. She returned to Attica in 2002. Diana worked for Heinz in Muscatine, IA and later the Post office as a mail clerk in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She attended the Williamsport United Methodist Church. She was a Red Cross volunteer and active in the community theatre at Lake Havasu City, AZ, performing in the Sound of Music and Oklahoma. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, piano and loved music. Surviving with her husband, are, 2 daughters, Francie Jo Holycross of Indianapolis, IN and Tammy Sue Hamilton (husband: Andrew) of Apple Valley, CA; 4 stepchildren, Dianna Cline (husband: Steve) of Greenfield, IN, Ronald Standeford, Jr. (wife: Charlotte) of Crawfordsville, IN, Christopher T. Standeford of Bangor, MI, and Kimberly Miller of Bangor, MI; 2 sisters, Nancy Lee Smith of Barstow, CA and Beverly Warner of Pleasant Valley, Iowa; 20 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Diana was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wayne, 1 sister, Rebecca Jess, and 2 grandsons, Brendan Jordan and Billy Anderson. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Monday, February 21, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. with her stepson, Rev. Ronald Standeford, Jr. officiating. Interment will be at West Lebanon Cemetery.
