Rudy L. Groff, age 73 of West Lebanon, died at 8:42 a.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, IN.
Rudy was born on July 30, 1937 near Marshfield, IN. He was the son of Lowell Emerson and Alberta Leona (Cronkhite) Groff. Rudy was a lifelong Warren County resident and attended West Lebanon High School. He married Doris June Owens in Attica, IN. They were married 48 years before she preceded him in death on February 29, 2008.
Rudy was a self-employed truck driver, owner and operator of Groff Trucking. He drove for Charlie Cantwell and in Chicago, IL. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the VFW Post #3318 Attica. He enjoyed antique tractors.

Rudy was preceded in death by his father, Lowell, brother, Rick Groff, and a son, Robert Dean Groff.
Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in West Lebanon on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services will be there in the chapel on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Minister Bruce Thornsbrough officiating. Interment will be at West Lebanon Cemetery will full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Lebanon Christian Church or the VFW Post #3318.
