Darla R. (Spears) Sargent, age 68 of West Lebanon, died at 5:46 A.M. on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at Williamsport Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Darla was born in Cashmere, WA on February 16, 1939. She was the daughter of John and Evelyn Viola (Clements) Spears. She graduated high school in Wala Wala, Washington and furthered her education at Lafayette Business College. She married William Sargent and they lived in the Warren County area for over 40 years. He survives.
Darla worked as a secretary for Purdue University and then later for the Girl Scouts Office. She was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Danville, IL. Darla loved doing puzzles, playing games with the grandkids, euchre, dancing and roller skating. She especially enjoyed her children and grandchildren.
Surviving with her husband, are 4 children, Michelle King (fiancé: Scott Seymour) of Brownsburg, IN; Denice Cuebas (husband: Victor) of Lafayette; Mike Jensen (wife: Charl) of California; and Dena Lynette Lucas (husband: George) of Williamsport; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Darla was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, John Bush.
