Michael R. Meek

Michael “Mike” R. Meek, age 42 of West Lebanon, died at 2:57 A.M. on Monday, May 21, 2007 at St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital. Mike was born in Danville, IL on July 13, 1964. He was the son of Art Rollins and Nora Place. He was raised by his grandparents, Robert and Vernnia Spangler. He had been a lifelong resident of West Lebanon. He graduated from Seeger High School in 1983. On June 4, 2005 he married Lori C. DuBois in West Lebanon. She survives. Mike worked for McLane Midwest in Danville, IL for the past five years. He had served in the Indiana Army National Guard at the Attica Armory. Mike was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved being outdoors and taking care of his yard and pond, and especially taking care of his family. Surviving with his wife, Lori, whom he had been with for 16 years are, his mother, Nora Place of Danville, IL; 4 sons, Dustin Meek of Ohio, Aaron Meek, Brandon Meek of Kentland, IN and Caleb Meek of West Lebanon, IN; 2 nephews whom lived with Mike and Lori, Josh Feazel and Doug Feazel; 4 brothers, Jim Bob Rice, Shane Rice, Corey Rice and Travis Rice all of Danville, IL; 1 sister, Lisa Lowery of Danville, IL; and grandfather, Robert Spangler of West Lebanon, IN. Mike was preceded in death by his father and grandmother, Vernnia Spangler. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. EDT. Services will be there in the chapel on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. EDT with Chaplain Cleveland Taylor officiating. Interment will be at West Lebanon Cemetery.
