Dorothy J. (Fleenor) Denney, age 80 of Williamsport and formerly of West Lebanon, IN, died at 5:45 P.M. on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at the Williamsport Health and Rehabilitation Center. Dorothy was born on August 31, 1926 in Alvin, IL. She was the daughter of Dawson and Ada (Payton) Fleenor. She attended Alvin Schools. She lived in Danville, IL before moving to West Lebanon in 1977 where she lived until moving to the Williamsport Health and Rehabilitation Center in 2002. Dorothy married Dale Hankins in 1948 and they divorced in 1960. She later married Walter Denney in March 1964. He preceded her in death on February 13, 1989. Dorothy worked at General Motors in Danville, IL. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Danville, IL. Dorothy was an excellent cook and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. Surviving are 1 son, Greg Hankins (wife: Sue) of Texas; 2 daughters, Robin Hutson (husband: Terry) of West Terre Haute, IN and Lynda Odle (husband: Terry) of Williamsport, IN; 7 grandchildren, Travis, Tory, Tarra, Terry Lee (Wife: Jessica), Amanda, Jon and Robbie; and 4 great-grandchildren, Hayden, Jayden, Dalton and Caleb. Dorothy was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Harold and Joe Fleenor, and 1 sister, Marjorie Fleenor. Graveside services will be held at the Danville National Cemetery in Danville, IL on Friday, May 25, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. EDT (1:00 P.M. CST) with Chaplain Manuel Mak officiating. Interment will be at the VA National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Williamsport Health & Rehabilitation Center 200 Short Street Williamsport, IN 47993 in memory of Dorothy Denney.
