Emma M. (Farmer) Biddle, age 88 of Williamsport, died at 4:48 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at the Williamsport Health and Rehab.
Emma was born in Williamsport on April 9, 1923. She was the daughter of John Pearson and Annie M. (Clark) Farmer. She was a longtime resident of Warren County and in later years had resided in Fountain County. She married William F. Biddle on May 10, 1941 in Williamsport. He survives.
Emma worked AT & T for many years. She was a current member of the Attica United Methodist and a longtime former member of the Williamsport United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Business Professional Women and DAR, and enjoyed doing genealogy research.
Surviving with her husband, William, are 1 daughter, Ronda Snider (husband: Larry) of Williamsport; 1 brother, John Robert Farmer of Plainfield, IN; 1 sister, June Rush of Wiley, TX; 5 grandchildren, Curtis Wayne Snider, Kim Rayburn, Theresa Allison, Troy Biddle and Cory Biddle; 13 great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Emma was preceded in death by a son, Billy Wayne Biddle.
A graveside service will be held at Highland Cemetery on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Cathy McCoy officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Williamsport United Methodist Church or the Williamsport United Methodist Church Food Pantry.
