Ronald William Standeford, Sr.

Ronald William Standeford, Sr., age 64 of Crawfordsville, IN, formerly of Attica, IN, died at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at St. Clare Medical Center in Crawfordsville. Ronald was born on January 15, 1947 in Indianapolis, IN. He was the son of John William and Gladys (Poore) Standeford. He lived throughout the Indianapolis area, Greenfield, and had settled in Attica for the past 14 years. He graduated from Tech High School in Indianapolis. Previous marriages were to Colleen Joy Mock and Leona Jane Zorn. On September 9, 2000 he married Diana Elaine Smith in Marshfield, IN. She preceded him in death on February 18, 2011. Ronald worked as a tool and die maker for Bridgeport Brass in Indianapolis for 17 years before pursuing other interests. He retired from Indiana Precision Plastics in Williamsport, IN. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and camping. He was a member of the Steel Workers Union Local # 4266. He loved spending time with his grandkids. Surviving are, 4 children, Dianna Cline (husband: Steve) of Greenfield, IN, Ronald Standeford, Jr. (wife: Charlotte) of Crawfordsville, IN, Christopher T. Standeford and Kimberly Miller both of Bangor, MI; 2 stepchildren, Francie Jo Holycross of Indianapolis, IN and Tammy Sue Hamilton (husband: Andrew) of Apple Valley, CA; brother, George L. Standeford of Rockford, IL; 20 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 2 grandsons, Brendan Jordan and Billy Anderson. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport, IN on Monday, August 8, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Ron Standeford will be officiating, assisted by Dianna Cline. Private interment will be at West Lebanon Cemetery at a later time. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
