James Franklin Robinson, age 75 of Attica, died at 8:35 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his loving family after a 3 ½ year battle with brain cancer.
Jim was born on August 23, 1936 in Nappanee, IN. He was the son of Franklin O. Robinson and Jane D. (Orcutt) Arms. He was a 1954 graduate of Attica High School. He married Peggy A. Garrett on February 25, 1996 in Brooksville, FL. She survives.
Jim served in the US Army from 1956-1959. He worked for the US Post Office for 25 years retiring in 1991. He then worked for John Roemer and later the Little Beverage Company. Jim was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Church and the Lions Club both in Attica. He did history reenactments at the Feast of the Hunters Moon. He was a Notre Dame football fanatic, enjoyed antiquing and civil war history.

2 daughters from a previous marriage, Amanda Terrones (husband: Barry Howard) of Chicago, IL and Patricia Jane Hargan (husband: Brian) of Attica, IN
2 grandsons, William Gerald “Will” Hargan and John Patrick “Jack” Hargan
3 step-daughters, Stacey Little (husband: James Gordon) of Attica, IN, Shelly Best (companion: Tim Holliman) of Williamsport, IN and Sherry Freeland (husband: Greg) of Attica, IN
1 brother, Thomas C. Robinson of Seguin, TX
6 step-grandsons, Tyler, Zach, Kenny and Chase Little, Kylan Freeland and Keaton Best
4 step-granddaughters, Keeli Lamie, Krissa Best, Morgan Piper and Lainey Freeland
James was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Saturday, November 12, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until rosary at 12:45 p.m. with a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Father Rasner officiating. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society for brain tumor research. The family wants to acknowledge surgeon Dr. Scott Shapiro, nurse practitioner Sandy Kay, oncologist Dr. Edward Dropcho, RN Kristy Keller, and family doctor Dr. Sean Sharma.
