Mary E. Crane

Mary E. (Ford) Crane age 87 of Delphi, IN, formerly of Alvin, IL died at 11:50 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi. Mary was born in Warren County, IN on September 20, 1919. She was the daughter of Herman and Minnie (Thorton) Ford. She attended nursing school in Kankakee, IL. Mary married Joseph O. Crane and he preceded her in death. Mary lived in Alvin, IL for 25 years before moving to Delphi, IN. She worked as a nurse at Lakeview Hospital in Danville, IL. Mary enjoyed family dinners and her grandchildren. Surviving are, 3 sons, James Crane of De Land, FL, Joe Crane (wife: Cathy) and Dean Crane (wife: Bernie) both of Grantville, PA; son-in-law, Tom Lamie of Fowler, IN; and 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, Floyd R. Ford and Emmerson Ford, 1 daughter, Connie Lamie, and 1 son, Jack Crane. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Thursday, September 6, 2007 from 1:00 until service time at 2:00 P.M. EDT. Rev Charles B. Anderson will be officiating. Interment will be at Jordan Cemetery, Pence, IN. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Hoopeston Public Library District.
