John Lee “Jack” Flint, age 87 of Williamsport, died at 11:24 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at St. Elizabeth East Heart Center in Lafayette, IN.
John was born on December 26, 1924 in Williamsport. He was the son of John and Berniece (Kirts) Flint. He attended Williamsport High School and was a lifelong resident of Warren County. He married Marilyn Odle and she preceded him in death. He later married Viola Kummings in Frankfort and she preceded him in death in 2002.
John served in the USA Army in the European Theatre surviving the Battle of the Bulge. He served the in the 11th Armored Division. He was a member of the F & AM Lodge #315 Pine Village, American Legion Post #259 Williamsport, VFW Post #3315 Attica, and Williamsport United Methodist Church. He was an avid Cubs fan, and enjoyed fishing and bowling earning many trophies. He retired after 36 years from Ross Gear TRW in Lafayette.

2 sisters, Mary Kay Fix and Barbara Shepherd
6 grandchildren, Dawn Dilley, Eric Flint, Jason Manning, Reyna Shelley, Rustin Shelley, and Ryan Shelley

1 great-great-grandson
Jack was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Shelley.
Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with Masonic service to be at 7:45 p.m. Services will be there in the chapel on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Charles B. Anderson officiating. Interment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Garden in West Lafayette with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Williamsport United Methodist Church or American Heart Association.
