Frank Gee, age 74 of rural Williamsport, IN died at 1:05 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at The Waters of Covington.
Frank was born on September 27, 1937 in Williamsport, IN. He was the son of Chauncy Bruce and Ida May (Murphy) Gee. He was a 1955 graduate of West Lebanon High School and a Warren County resident all of his life. On September 28, 1963 he married Mary E. Lister in Warren County. She survives.
Frank served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1966. He was a member of the American Legion Post #259 Williamsport and the First Assembly of God in Covington, IN. Frank worked for Allied Signal in Danville, IL for 34 years. He loved music, working outside and farming. He was a people person. He was a carpenter and built his own home. Frank was a wonderful husband and father and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He had a great love for God.
Surviving with his wife, Mary, are, 3 children, Melinda Harris (husband: Todd) of Williamsport; Bradley Gee (wife: Kathleen) of Madison, IN; and Melanie Nelson (husband: Dan) of Williamsport; 3 brothers, Bruce Gee (Pat) of Covington, IN; Howard Gee (Mary) of Williamsport; and Richard “Dick” Gee (Tiny) of Marshfield, IN; 1 sister, Ann Wesley (Millard) of Kramer, IN; and 8 grandchildren, Shelby and Devin Harris; David, Elizabeth and Jarrod Gee; and Morgan, Patrick and Emma Nelson. Frank was preceded in death by 5 sisters, Doris Inman, Rosie Simonton, Luella Beardsley, Cynthia Simonton, and Eva Harden Lape, and 2 brothers, Gordon and David Gee.
Visitation will be at First Assembly of God, 421 Market St., Covington, IN on Friday, August 24, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services will be there on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Robert Fairchild officiating. Interment will be at West Lebanon Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God Church.
