Tunie Lewis

Tunie (Oliver) Lewis, age 90 of Locust Grove, IN died at 12:45 P.M. on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at the Waters of Williamsport. Tunie was born in Winnipeg, Canada on January 22, 1917. She was the daughter of Walter and Florence Mary Oliver. She attended school and was raised in Canada, living there until moving to Locust Grove in 1959. On September 5, 1959 she married Louis R. Lewis in Winnipeg, Canada. Tunie worked at the University of Manitoba for 22 years. She was a member of the Locust Grove Methodist Church and the WSCS Locust Grove. Tunie enjoyed flowers and took great pride in designing her flower garden. Tunie is survived by her husband Louis R. Lewis of Locust Grove, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Robert R. Lewis, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 from 10:00 A.M. EST until service time at Noon. Pastor C. Anne Kumeh will be officiating. Interment will be at Locust Grove Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Locust Grove Cemetery Association or the donor’s choice.
