Nellie M. (Duggan) Odle, age 84 of Williamsport, died at 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 16, 2007 at The Waters of Williamsport. Nellie was born in Portland Arch, IN on December 22, 1922. She was the daughter of Dennis P. and Myrtle M. (Brooks) Duggan. She resided and went to school at the Soldiers and Sailors Children’s Home in Knightstown, IN. On September 16, 1939 she married Thomas “Tom” “Newt” Vernon Odle. He preceded her in death on January 22, 2007. Nellie was a homemaker. She resided in rural Williamsport and during the winters she and her husband spent their time in Arcadia, FL. She was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church in Danville, IL. She was a good friend and neighbor. She loved crossword puzzles and loved spending time with her family. Surviving are, 1 son, Tom L. Odle (wife: Lenora) of Williamsport, IN; 3 daughters, Dennie A. Turner (husband: Larry) and Joy E. Beckett (husband: Doug) both of Williamsport, and Jane E. Lowe (husband: Mike) of Palmetto, FL; half-sister, Romona McMillen of Lafayette, IN; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, son, Larry Odle, 1 sister, Thelma “Dixie” Mornout, and a half-brother, Jack Newnum. Visitation will be at the Williamsport Christian Church on Thursday, December 20, 2007 from 5:00 until service time at 7:00 P.M. EST with Revs. Don Williams and Bryce Wiley officiating. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Williamsport at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the 7th Day Adventist Church in Danville, IL.
