Mary Jean Stone, age 77 of Fowler, IN passed away at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at her residence. She went to be with her husband, Harold Wayne Stone, with whom she spent 50 years with before his passing on August 16, 2005.
Jean was the daughter of Edward and Esther (German) Little of Tab. She and Harold owned and operated a grocery store in Tab, she also worked at the Dime Store in Boswell before raising 4 kids and being a domestic goddess and mother. She enjoyed going out to eat.
Jean is survived by her children, Janie Kaniewski (Art) of Kentucky, Ann Jungel (Gary) of Boswell, Sandy Stone of Lafayette, and Wayne Stone (Nellie) of Fowler. She is also survived by 2 brothers, Donald Little (Pat) of California and Jerry Little of Amiba; 1 sister, Margaret Bratton of Boswell, her grandchildren, Wendy Brost (Kyle), Stacy McKendree (Ashley), Beth Kaniewski, Brittany Blair (Kyle), and Justin Stone, Danielle Stone, Tara Jungel, Julian Jaimez (Sheila), Victoria Jaimez, John Jaimez, and Dina Trevina; and 18 great-grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandson, Brian Jungel.
A memorial service will be held at Locust Grove Cemetery on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Dean Burling officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Benton County Ambulance or the American Heart Association.
