Gladys L. (Worley) Heintz, age 80 of Williamsport, IN died at 7:05 a.m. on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the home of her nephew, Bob and Melanie Worley.
Gladys was born near Judyville, IN on November 5, 1932. She was the daughter of John and Bobbie Ruth (Carson) Worley. She graduated from Williamsport High School in 1950 and later attended Ivy Tech. Gladys previously lived in Seattle, WA, New Orleans, LA, and Crawfordsville, IN and settled in the Williamsport area. She married Harvey Heintz on January 15, 1956 in Cocoa Beach, FL. He preceded her in death on November 8, 1995.
Gladys worked as a secretary for Dr. Nelson and Boeing and as an assistant for an eye surgeon. She enjoyed genealogy and flowers, and was an avid reader.
Surviving are, 2 stepsons, Gary Heintz and Kevin Heintz; 2 sisters, Donna Swanson (husband: John) of Williamsport and Lois Reynolds of Lafayette; and 1 brother, Dean Worley of Utah. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruth, and brothers and sisters, Jackie Booth, Janet Cantwell, Philip Worley, and Mary Worley.
A graveside service will be held at West Lebanon Cemetery on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Page Fitzpatrick officiating.
