Mary Virginia (Sloan) Stump, age 92 of West Lebanon, IN died at 11:30 P.M., Friday, February 8, 2008 at Woodland Manor Nursing Home in Attica, IN.
Virginia was born in Rossville, IL on July 4, 1915. She was the daughter of Hobart and Ruth (Crawford) Sloan. She was a graduate of West Lebanon High School. She married Glen Stump on September 28, 1938 in Danville, IL. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1975. She lived in Earl Park, IN before moving to West Lebanon in 1993.
Virginia was a homemaker. She attended the West Lebanon Church of the Nazarene and she loved flowers.
Surviving are, 1 son, Ronald Stump (wife: Wilma) of West Lebanon; 5 grandchildren, Suzanne Miller (husband: Terry) of Kokomo, IN, Jeffrey Stump (wife: Donna) of Pence, IN, Everett Stump (wife: Crystal) of Hedrick, IN, Eric Stump of Lafayette, IN and Sally Curtis of Indianapolis, IN; 14 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, 1 daughter, Janet Stump, 1 son, Rodney Stump, and 1 brother, Calman Sloan.
Graveside services will be held at Earl Park Protestant Cemetery on Monday, February 11, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Bob Elness officiating. Interment will be at Earl Park Protestant Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to West Lebanon Church of the Nazarene.
