Charles T. Johnson

Charles T. Johnson, 87, of Williamsport, passed away 8:36am, Tuesday March 26, 2013 at St Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born January 17, 1926 near Williamsport the son of Elmer M and Floy C (Hamblen) Johnson. He married Iva L. Holden January 18, 1946 in Williamsport. Surviving family include his wife, Iva Johnson, Williamsport; three daughters, Kathy (Bill) Taylor, West Lebanon; Gayla (Gary) Verhey, Attica; Anita Lemming (fiancé Craig Miller) Roachdale, IN; seven grandchildren, Doug Taylor, Beth (Bob) Snedeker, Kendra (Greg) Ford, Matthew (Brooke) Lemming, Robin (Max) McGrew, Ashley Verhey, Kari Lemming; six great-grandchildren, Lexi Snedeker, Rileigh Mulkey, Colin Ford, Owen Snedeker, Thomas Lemming, Chase Lemming, and a great-grandchild V. Renee McGrew on the way next month. Charles graduated from Williamsport High School in 1944 and had farmed for many years in Warren County. He enjoyed collecting coins, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Attica Christian Church. Graveside service will be 11:00 am Friday March 29, 2013 at West Lebanon Cemetery with Pastor Bob Elness and Charles Fink officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to the Attica Christian Church.
