Dema J. (Zufall) Fisher, age 85 of Nashville, IN, formerly of Williamsport, IN died at 7:15 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Brown County Health and Living Community in Nashville, IN.
Born in Williamsport, IN on January 26, 1928, Dema was the daughter of Ralph and Florence (Headlee) Zufall. She was a 1945 graduate of Williamsport High School. On December 7, 1946 she married Guy J. Fisher and he preceded her in death on October 6, 1996.
Dema worked for Cronkhite Grocery in West Lebanon for 12 years. She was the librarian for the West Lebanon Library where she retired after 12 years. She was a member of the West Lebanon Christian Church and the OES Chapter #162 West Lebanon.
Surviving are, 1 son, Steven Fisher (wife: Beth) of Nashville, IN; 1 daughter, Gloria Showalter (husband: Greg) of Carmel, IN; 1 sister, Lois E. Brier of Williamsport; 2 grandchildren, Daniel Lee Fisher (wife: Courtney) and Holly Nicole Gordon (husband: Ray); 1 great-granddaughter, Scout Reagan-Day Fisher; and 3 sister-in-laws, Jaxine Zufall, Thelma Campbell, and Betty Campbell. Dema was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother, Mable Zufall; stillborn twin daughters; 3 sisters, Charlene Spangler, Madge Dean Wright, Miriam Stump, and Zelda Mae; 3 brothers, Larry Zufall, Grant Campbell, and Thomas Campbell.
Visitation will be at the West Lebanon Christian Church on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from noon until Order of Eastern Star service at 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service to immediately follow with Minister Bruce Thornsbrough officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Lebanon Christian Church Family Life Center or the West Lebanon Library.
