Sandra Jane (Lucas) White

Sandra Jane (Lucas) White age 41 of West Lebanon died at 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at the Waters of Williamsport. Sandra was born on January 1, 1967 in Danville, IL and won the first baby of the new year contest for the Danville, IL area receiving several nice gifts. She is the daughter of Donald E. and Alberta F. (Fetters) Lucas. She was a 1985 graduate of Seeger Memorial High School. While attending Seeger, Sandra excelled in basketball and track, where she competed in the 800 relay and she and her teammates still hold the school record since 1982. She later graduated from the Lafayette Beauty Academy and was a beautician at Great Expectations in Lafayette, IN and later in Attica, IN at C R Finishing Touch. She then worked as a bank teller for Old National Bank in Williamsport, IN. She was a lifelong resident of Warren County. She married Kenny D. White on August 15, 1987 at the West Lebanon Christian Church. He survives. She was a member of the West Lebanon Christian Church where she was very active and especially enjoyed Wednesday morning bible study. She enjoyed her flower garden, going out to lunch with her friends, and Sudoku puzzles. Sandra was very proud of her daughters Courtney and Brittany. She enjoyed watching Courtney playing basketball, soccer, and pitching for her softball team. She was very proud of Courtney’s awards for reading, member of student council, and singing with her church group. Sandra was very active in Brittany’s life and took great pride seeing Brittany excel in her academics. Brittany was inducted in the National Honor Society and Sandra enjoyed listening to her sing in the high school choir. She always looked forward to the Warren County 4H Fair where her daughters were active. While she was at the Waters of Williamsport, Sandra had a friend give her a book that she used to make sure all who visited would sign. Surviving with her husband, Kenny; are 2 daughters, Brittany N. White, and Courtney B. White both at home in West Lebanon, IN; 2 sisters, Kendra Lucas, of Oklahoma City, OK, and Deanne Raymer (husband: Brian) and nephew Tyler Raymer, all of Carmel, IN; parents, Donald E. & Alberta F. Lucas of Covington; father & mother in law, C.V. and Donna White of rural Williamsport, IN. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lloyd and Oveta Lucas, and Milo and Minnie Fetters. Visitation will be at West Lebanon Christian Church, 201 S. Clinton Street, on Sunday, June 1, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. EDT. Services will be at the West Lebanon Christian Church on Monday, June 2, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. EDT with Minister Bruce Thornsbrough officiating. Interment will be at West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the West Lebanon Christian Church Building Fund.
