Bill G. Trimble, age 73, of Williamsport, IN, passed from this life to be with our Lord at 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the Warsaw Meadows Care Center in Warsaw, IN.
Bill was born June 6, 1940 in Nancy, KY to Loren and Alleen (Hislope) Trimble. He graduated from Nancy High School in Nancy, KY in 1958. Bill joined the US Army, serving from 1959 to 1961 stationed in Germany. He later served in the National Guard. Upon his return to the states he married Hilda C. Jones on April 23, 1962 in Georgia. She preceded him in death on August 5, 2012. Bill resided in Williamsport, IN through February 2010 when he then moved to Warsaw Meadows Care Center in Warsaw, IN.
Bill worked at Harrison Steel Castings in Attica, IN beginning as an hourly employee in 1961 and retiring in 2008 as a foundry night superintendent. Bill loved the Kentucky Wildcats basketball and enjoyed watching the games. He was able to watch and enjoy the success of the 2012 season and championship.
Surviving are, 3 children, Billy Wayne Trimble of Lafayette, IN and Anita A. Phelps and Richard “Dusty” Trimble both of Williamsport, IN; 1 sister, Betty Fitzgerald of Somerset, KY; and 3 half-brothers, Don Molen, Bobby Molen and Ron Molen all of Nancy, K. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Alleeen Trimble and his stepfather, John Molen.
A graveside service will be held at the Highland Cemetery on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Charles Anderson officiating and full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Warsaw Meadows Care Center Memory Care Unit.
