Marilyn (Yates) Lane, age 84 of Danville, IL, formerly of West Lebanon, IN, died at 11:42 a.m. on Friday, June 6, 2014.
Marilyn was born in North Morenci, MI on May 18, 1930. She was the daughter of Cordia F. and Beulah (Kenfield) Yates. She moved to West Lebanon, IN in 1935 and graduated from West Lebanon High School in 1948. She later graduated from Home Hospital School of Nursing in 1951.
Marilyn had worked in Texas, California, Florida, and had spent 35 years at the Community Hospital and St. Vincent Hospital in Williamsport retiring in January 2005. She was a member of West Lebanon Christian Church until moving to Danville, IL where she was now a member of the Crossroads Christian Church. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and watching her hummingbird. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.

Sisters, Cindy Pence (husband: Cliff) of Williamsport, Ardith Thorp (husband: Jim) Of Tracey, CA and sister-in-laws, Wanda Yates and Donna Yates
5 grandchildren, Shaina Lane, Eryn Lane, and Sahara Lane, Miranda Winn, and Vanessa Kingery (husband: Jordan)

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, Orval Johnston, and brothers, Jerry and Charles Yates
Visitation will be at the West Lebanon Christian Church on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. EDT. Services will be there on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. EDT with Pastor Miles Clark and Minister Bruce Thornsbrough officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
