Howard Thomas Hargrove, Sr., age 85 of West Lebanon, died at 5:10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at his residence.
Howard was born in Nashville, TN on September 13, 1928. He was the son of Frank C. and Frances Elizabeth (Waynick) Hargrove. He was raised in Lafayette, KY and moved to Warren County, IN in 1965. He married June Williams on July 17, 1970 in Danville, IL and she survives.
Howard worked in the trucking industry as a dispatcher and mechanic for 45 years working for Atkins Trucking in Evansville, IN and Ryder Truck Lines in Danville, IL. He was an avid bowler and loved to play golf and shoot pool. He enjoyed hunting and collecting guns. He loved to tell stories to his grandchildren.

2 step-daughters, Carla Lincicum (husband: Mark) and Monica Cornwell (husband: Brad) both of West Lebanon, IN
2 step-sons, David Ross (wife: Gayle) of Cayuga, IN and Danny Ross (wife: Teresa) of Culleoka, TN
Daughter-in-law, Margaret Hargrove of Hopkinsville, KY
2 sisters, Martha Fowler of Hopkinsville, KY and Barbara Gamblin of Madisonville, KY
1 brother, Will Hargrove (wife: Mary) of Herndon, KY
16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren
Howard was preceded in death by 2 sons, Darrell Hargrove and Howard “Buster” Hargrove, Jr., and a great-grandson, Elijah Cushman.
Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in West Lebanon on Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until noon with a graveside service to immediately follow at West Lebanon Cemetery with Ron Batts officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
