Tyrone "Ty" Brown

Tyrone “Ty” Brown, age 67 of West Lafayette, IN and longtime Attica, IN resident, died at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at his residence after battling cancer since February 2014. Ty was born on December 31, 1946 in Middletown, OH. He was the son of Everette and Zelma (Caudill) Brown. He had attended Montmorenci schools. He was a residence of Attica, IN for most of his life before moving to West Lafayette in 2009. On August 21, 1965 he married Connie S. Hall in Attica and she survives. Ty worked as a welder for Harrison Steel Casting Co., Can Am Steel, Greenbush Industries and back to Harrison Steel Casting Co. retiring in 2000. He was a self-taught handy man and a jack of all trades, master of all. He was a John Wayne fan, enjoying his movies and collecting John Wayne items. He especially enjoyed tinkering in his shed. Surviving with his wife, Connie, are, 3 children, Terry Brown of West Lafayette, IN, Debbie Chaney (husband: Wayne) of Williamsport, IN, and Tammy Cornego (husband: Bill) of West Lafayette, IN 1 brother, George Brown (wife: Chris) of Okeechobee, FL 1 sister, Rebecca Lacy (husband: Bobby) of Attica, IN 10 grandchildren 4 great-grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren on the way Several nieces and nephews Ty was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Sheila Roysdon, 3 brothers, Timothy, Jerry & Richard Brown, and 1 niece, Heather Brown. Visitation will be at Wabash Valley Bible Baptist Church, 2320 E US Highway 41, Attica, IN on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at noon with Pastor Rich Stoll officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
