Annabell (Holycross) Swick

Annabell (Holycross) Swick, age 94, of Williamsport, IN died at 6:10 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the Waters of Covington. Annabell was born on February 10, 1920 in Attica, IN. She was the daughter of Orval and Lena (Stevenson) Holycross. She was a graduate of Attica High School. She was married to Robert Otto Black, Lloyd Mickle, and Robert Swick. Annabell worked for RMC in Attica, IN, helped farmer, Bill Day, and retired from RCA in Indianapolis. Annabell and Bob operated Palm Garden Café in West Lebanon. She lived in Attica, West Lebanon, Indianapolis and Greencastle before moving to Williamsport in 1985. She resided there until moving to the Waters of Covington in 2006. Annabell was a member of the Williamsport Christian Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Attica. She loved to play bingo, do crossword puzzles, crochet and making net scratchers. She was a die hard Cubs fan. She also played on the ladies softball team in West Lebanon. Surviving are, 1 son, Bob Black (wife: Vicki) of Speedway, IN; 2 daughters, Beverly Rempfer of Pearland, TX and Sharon Allison (husband: Ed) of Williamsport, IN; 4 grandchildren, Terri Jo Ortega (Jon), Beth Fitzgerald, Sheila McConnaughey (Paul), and Sheryl Mellady (Jeff); 3 great-grandchildren, Freddie McConnaughey (fiancé: Lyndsey), Megan Furry (Dusty) and Logan Fitzgerald; and 3 step-grandsons, Matthew, Mason & Michael Mellady. Annabell was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Junior and Pete Holycross, 1 sister, Mildred Mickle, and grandson, Robert Louis Frye. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in West Lebanon on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 from noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Minister Jesse Stoner officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Waters of Covington.
