Helen I. (Tyler) O'Neal

Helen Iliene (Tyler) O’Neal, age 74 of Covington, IN died at 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. Helen was born on April 8, 1940 in Williamsport, IN. She was the daughter of Zopher Coleman and Hannah J. (Rothrock) Tyler. She was a lifelong resident of Warren County, IN and a 1958 graduate of Williamsport High School. On April 2, 2002 she married Jerald M. O’Neal and he survives. Helen worked as a waitress and then as a security guard for Masterguard retiring from there in 1997. She was currently a member of the First Church of Christ in Covington. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and going to church. She enjoyed her precious cat, Timmy. Surviving with her husband, are, 1 sister, Betty Haynes (husband: John) of rural Attica, IN; step-children, Jamie (Dohn) Hutson, Jerry (Karen) O’Neal, Judy Richey, and Jennifer (Richard) Gibbs; 3 nieces; several great-nieces and nephews; several grandchildren & great-grandchildren & special friends. Helen was preceded in death by 1 sister and 3 brothers. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.. Services will be there in the chapel on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bill Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
