Roger D. Howard, age 64 of West Lebanon, IN died at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at his residence. The family rejoices in knowing he is now with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Roger was born on November 5, 1950 in New Rhodes, LA. He was the son of Carlos Howard and Jean Hamblin Patterson. He graduated from Seeger Memorial High School in 1968. On August 21, 1971 he married Sandra Kay Rader in Crescent City, IL. She survives. Roger worked from many years at Hyster Co. before he retired. Roger was a member of the Hedrick Assembly of God Church. He loved reading and studying the Word of God and was a devoted man of God. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed restoring old vehicles. He loved to spend time with his family and friends and was devoted to his children and grandchildren. Surviving with his wife, Sandra, are, Mother, Jean Patterson (Joe) of Oneida, TN Stepmother, Mary Howard of Danville, IL 2 sons, Shawn Howard (Julie) of Waynetown, IN and Cory Howard (Cyndy) of Lafayette, IN 6 brothers Steve Howard (Nancy) of Normal, IL, Dwain Howard (Bobette), of West Lebanon, IN, Kevin Howard (Cindy) of Lafayette, IN, Darrell Howard of San Diego, CA, Carl Howard (Lynette) of Kentwood, LA and Brian Howard (Amy) of Baton Rouge, LA 1 sister, Juanita Bailey (Dave) of West Lebanon, IN 9 grandchildren, Kasey, Shaely, Sharisa, Makayla, Caprianna, Kiana, Mackenzie, Ansley and Jace 3 great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Jax, and Javan Loving mother-in-law, several brothers and sisters-in-law, and countless nieces, nephews and cousins Roger was preceded in death by his father, Carlos Howard. Visitation will be at the West Lebanon Christian Church on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services will be there on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Harold Varner and cousin, Kelly Howard, officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Hedrick Assembly of God Church or the Warren County Community Foundation for the St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital Guild Scholarship Fund.
