Phyllis J. (Feldt) Dewey

Phyllis J. (Feldt) Dewey, age 65 of Attica, IN passed away at 4:27 p.m. EST on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette, IN. Phyllis was born in Lafayette, IN on April 27, 1943. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Helen (Hill) Feldt. She was a 1961 graduate of East Tipp High School. She later graduated from Indiana Business College. Phyllis married Clifford Dewey, III on March 20, 1970. He survives. She had been a resident of Attica since 1971, previously living in Lafayette. Phyllis worked for Warren Paper, Purdue University and Attica Elementary School. She enjoyed watching and ordering from QVC. Phyllis enjoyed her flower gardens and loved animals. She was a cookbook collector and an avid Cubs fan. Surviving with her husband, Clifford are, daughter, Barbara Jean Dewey-Shoaf of West Lebanon; son, David Dewey of Attica; sister, Linda Yost of Indianapolis, IN; granddaughter, Kourtney Dewey; father-in-law, Clifford Dewey, II of Attica; and special niece and nephew, Colleen Luse and Doug Feldt. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Feldt. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Sunday, March 8, 2009 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. EDT. Services will be there in the chapel on Monday, March 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. EDT with Rev. Bob Elness officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Attica.
