William “Bud” “Bill” M. Baldock, age 72 of Rainsville, IN passed away surrounded by his loving family and friends at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2015 at Woodland Manor Nursing Center in Attica, IN.
Bud was born on August 26, 1943 in Liberty, KY. He was the son of Marion and Lorene J. (Sallee) Baldock. He attended Liberty schools. He moved to Pine Village in 1962 where he resided until moving to Rainsville in 1983. He married Linda James in 1965 in Jamestown, TN. They later divorced.
Bud worked for Labor Local #274 Kettle Hut Construction Co. for 35 years retiring in 1995. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Attica. He was an avid supporter of the NRA. Bud loved dirt track racing, coon hunting, mushrooming, gardening, fishing, woodworking, and concrete work. He also enjoyed auctions and collecting pocketknives and guns. He raised longhorns, including his favorites Cruz, Patti, and Sandy.
Surviving are, 2 children, Morris Richard “Rick” Baldock and Madalene Jane (Baldock) Rodenbarger (Tim Reynolds) both of Boswell, IN; their mother, Linda L. (James) Simmons (husband: David) of Crawfordsville, IN; 1 sister, June McClellen (husband: Jerry) of Crawfordsville, IN; 4 grandchildren, Julia Cole, Richard Baldock, Spencer Baldock, and Larissa Budreau (Nathan); 5 great-grandchildren, Liam, Briegan, Owen, Cali Jo, and Gunnar; and special friend, Patti Stetler of Attica, IN. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Lorene Baldock, and 3 sisters, Callie Baldock, Elizabeth Grider and Nellie Dowell.
Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services will be there in the chapel on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Elder Ron Geyer officiating. Interment will follow at Rainsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the NRA.
