Jerry Lee Wurtsbaugh, age 63 of Williamsport, IN died at his residence on Monday, January 4, 2016.
Jerry was born on July 14, 1952 in Williamsport, IN. He was the son of Lee A. and Violet M. (Hoskins) Wurtsbaugh. He was a 1970 graduate of Williamsport High School and attended electronics trade school in Grand Rapids, MI. He lived in Williamsport all of his life and worked for Dick and Jack’s service station. He worked the past 21 years for Kuri Tec Corporation.
Jerry enjoyed mushroom hunting and liked to share them with the community. He loved the outdoors, including camping, hiking and canoeing. He loved his dog, Shane, and loved to visit with his friends at the nursing home.
Surviving are, mother, Violet Wurtsbaugh of Attica, IN; brothers, Randy Wurtsbaugh (Jan) of Williamsport and Ed Wurtsbaugh (companion: Rhonda Kaeleey) of Veedersburg, IN; and niece and nephews, Amy Haley (Erich) of Attica, IN, Cory Wurtsbaugh (Sara) of Zionsville, IN and Steven Wurtsbaugh (Kimberly) of Selma, IN. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Lee Wurtsbaugh.
Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport, IN on Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Don Williams officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Williamsport Christian Church or donor’s choice.
