Charles E. Terril, age 87 of West Lebanon, IN passed away at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital Indianapolis.
Charles was born on September 1, 1928 in Atwood, IL. He was the son of the late Harley E. and Elsie Terril. He married Jean Wood on May 6, 1950 and she survives. He worked as a Vocational Ag teacher for Seeger High School retiring after 43 years of teaching.
Charles was a 50 year member of the F&M and OES West Lebanon. He was also a member of the Attica Rotary, Retired Teachers Association, Rocky Forge Blacksmith, and past member of the Soil Conservation group. Charles was a 4-H leader for over 50 years. He enjoyed working in his garage doing fabricating, blacksmithing, and carpentry. He also liked to garden.
Surviving with his wife, Jean, are, son, Mark E. Terril (Chris) of Bradford Woods, PA; daughter, Maggie Terril of Carmel, IN; 2 grandchildren, Brienne Terril and Parker Terril (Andrea) both of NY; 1 great-granddaughter, Ava Terril; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Charles was preceded in death by his brother, John N. Terril.
Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in West Lebanon, IN on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 EST time with Masonic services at 6:45 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Mackville Cemetery in Atwood, IL on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. EST time (10:00 a.m. CST time) with Rev. Mike Drake officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
