Brenda Faye (Stevens) Ortiz

Brenda Faye (Stevens) Ortiz, age 57 of Williamsport, IN, formerly of Lafayette, IN died at 5:45 a.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Williamsport Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she has been a resident since March, 2015. Brenda was born in Grayson, KY on April 5, 1958. She is the daughter of James B. and Sally Collins Stevens. She was a graduate of Attica High School. She had resided for many years in Lafayette, IN working in the nursing industry for 35 years. She married Larry Voorhees and they later divorced. She then married William Ortiz, Sr. and they later divorced. Brenda loved her grandkids. Surviving are 2 sons, Shaun Voorhees of Seattle, WA and William Ortiz, Jr. (girlfriend: Karson) of Lafayette, IN and her siblings, Margie Trent (husband: Bud) of Williamsport, IN, Gracie Rowe of Sandy Hook, KY, William Stevens of West Bloomfield, MI and Leroy Keeton of Sandy Hook, KY. She also has 2 grandchildren, Briley Ortiz and Jordan Ortiz. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Mary Ellen Sparks, Joyce Hunter, Micki Littleton, Perry Keeton, James Stevens, and infant Vera Stevens. There will be a celebration of life at the Williamsport-Attica Senior Center, 306 Ross Avenue, Williamsport, IN on Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
