Dale Lee White, age 64, of Williamsport, IN went to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family at 8:09 a.m. on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette, IN.
Dale was born in Lafayette, IN on August 23, 1951. He was the son of the late Reuben A. and Jean (Johnson) White. He graduated from Seeger High School in 1969 and attended Vincennes University. He was a member of the Air Force Reserves and National Guard. He married Margo L. Garrett on September 27, 1980 in Williamsport, IN and she survives.
Dale worked as a truck driver for 16 years, Wabash National in Lafayette and most recently as an assistant building deputy at Purdue University for 15 years. He was a member of the Williamsport United Methodist Church, NRA, and the D.A.V. He enjoyed camping, traveling and especially his grandkids. He was a novice historian.
Surviving with his wife, Margo, are, 1 son, Brandon Dale White (wife: Rebecca) of Attica, IN; 2 daughters, Elizabeth “Beth” Ann Smith (husband: Jared) of West Salem, WI and Victoria “Tori” Elizabeth Osborn (husband: Eric) of Warren County, IN; 1 brother, Russell White (wife: Dean) of Williamsport, IN; several nieces and nephews; and 5 grandchildren, Nora White, Austin Smith, Jaylee Smith, Marquess Osborn and Darla Osborn.
Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services will be there in the chapel on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Cathy McCoy officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Williamsport, IN with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Williamsport United Methodist Church Mission for the Food Pantry.
