Janice Marlene (Jordan) Wesley

Janice Marlene (Jordan) Wesley, age 75 of Williamsport, IN went to be with the Lord at 4:42 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Marlene was born in Williamsport, IN on March 9, 1941. She was the daughter of John “J.V.” and Mabel (Allen) Jordan. She was a 1959 graduate of West Lebanon High School. Marlene was a lifelong resident of Warren County and married her husband, Harvey Richard Wesley, on June 19, 1959 in West Lebanon, IN. Marlene was a member of the Rowdy Roses Red Hat Society and the Birthday Club. She was a homemaker and an active volunteer at the Williamsport Health & Rehabilitation Nursing Center. She loved to gamble and cook, beef and noodles were her specialty. Marlene especially enjoyed being with her family and helping anyone who was in need. Surviving are, husband, Richard Wesley; sister, LaVone Garrison; aunt, Orril Lucas; several nieces, nephews and very close friends; godchildren, Jeremy (Evan) Gibbs, and Tasha (Willie) Kerst and god-grandchildren, Mallory and Billy Kerst and Lucy and John Oliver Gibbs. Marlene was preceded in death by her brothers, Porter E. Jordan and Max Donald Jordan, and her beloved cats. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 5:00 -8:00 p.m. Services will be there in the chapel on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Porter Jordan. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Paws-n-Claws or Alzheimer’s Association.
