Warren “Dale” Foster, age 87 of Williamsport, IN passed away at 6:13 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at IU Health Hospital in Lafayette, IN.
Dale was born in Ambia, IN on February 2, 1929. He was the son of Kenneth E. and Olive M. (Goodrick) Foster. He was a 1947 graduate of Williamsport High School. Dale was a lifelong resident of Warren County and married Jeanne O. Davis on September 21, 1950. She preceded him in death on February 15, 2015.
Dale served in the US Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany. He was a farmer and also worked at Maurice Massing Garage, Harrison Steel Company, Precision Plastics and Hose Technology, retiring in May 2014. Dale enjoyed going to the Indianapolis 500, the Brickyard 400, and the KY and IN all star basketball game. He also did custom hay baling.
Surviving are, 3 children, Maurice D. Foster (Connie) of Attica, IN, Linda Phillips of Kamiah, Idaho, and Nancy M. Taylor (Steve) of Lafayette, IN; several nieces and nephews; and 4 grandchildren, Stacey Sharp (Andrew), Eric Gower, Cole Taylor, and Brady Taylor. Dale was preceded in death by parents, brother, Kenneth foster, and sisters, Margaret Webster and Marjorie Mushrush.
Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport, IN on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Services will be there in the chapel on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dave Keeton officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Williamsport, IN.
