Mildred Lois (Davis) Anderson, age 96 of Danville, IL, formerly of Williamsport, IN, died at 4:45 a.m. on Monday, April 18, 2016 at Colonial Manor in Danville, IL.
Lois was born in West Lebanon, IN on June 24, 1919. She was the daughter of Andrew and Leticia Ann (Anderson) Davis. She graduated from West Lebanon High School in 1937. She lived in Warren County most of her life and in Williamsport since 1946. She moved to Danville, IL in 2005 where she resided with her daughter, Sheila.
Lois worked at Wisdom’s Dime Store in Williamsport and then at RMC in Attica for 20 years retiring August 12, 1980. She was a member of the Williamsport Christian Church and recently had been attending Second Church of Christ in Danville, IL. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and cross-stitching. She also enjoyed canning and gardening. Lois was an avid reader and a diehard Cub’s fan.
Surviving are, daughters, Aletha Bodle (Ron) of Oakland, IL, Linda Kennedy of Williamsport, IN, and Sheila Anderson of Danville, IL; brother, Donald Davis (Norma) of Greenwood, IN; 4 granddaughters and 2 grandsons; 15 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren and 1 on the way
Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from noon EDT until service time at 2:00 p.m. EDT. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Williamsport, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
