Chad Allen Lathrop

Chad Allen Lathrop, age 34 of Royal Palm Beach, FL died on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at his residence. Chad was born on September 1, 1974 in Homestead, FL. He was the son of Allen Lynn and Sandra Lee (Brown) Lathrop. He was a lifelong resident of Florida. In 1992 he graduated from South Dade High School, survived cancer and Hurricane Andrew all in the same year. He later graduated with a degree in electronics from New England Tech. He worked in electronics and marine electronics in Florida. He enjoyed fly fishing, deep water fishing and playing the guitar. He was an avid Nascar fan and his favorite driver was Tony Stewart. He loved his Camaro and was currently restoring his Firebird. He had a passion for electronics and had a talent for taking things apart and putting them back together. Surviving with his parents, Allen and Sandra of Loxahatchee, FL, are, 1 brother, Jeromy Lee Lathrop of West Lebanon, IN; 1 sister, Crystal Lynn Lathrop (fiancée: Joshua Purcell) of Williamsport; nephew and niece, Destin James and Anna Lee; numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Wilma Lathrop, maternal grandparents, Leland E. and Dorothy Brown, and 2 uncles, Merril Brown and James D. Lathrop. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Friday, June 19, 2009 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm EDT. Services will be there in the chapel on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 11:00 am EDT with Pastor Keith Klossner officiating. Interment will be at Gundy Cemetery in Bismarck, IL.
