Everett B. Myers, age 93 of Williamsport, IN died at 9:15 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the Williamsport Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where he had been residing the past two years.
Everett was born on March 12, 1923 in Williamsport, IN. He was the son of Carl B. and Buryl (Goodwine) Myers. He was a 1941 graduate of Williamsport High School and a Warren County resident all of his life. He married Glowdine Zenor on April 14, 1945 and she preceded him in death on July 13, 2004.
Everett served in the US Navy during WW II. He was a farmer all of his life and also worked for the Town of Williamsport part time for 6 years. Everett was a member of the F & AM West Lebanon, receiving his 50 year pin, Tab Church of Christ, and charter member of Big Pine Golf Course. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and the Chicago Cubs.
Surviving are, children, Ronnie Myers (Jayne) of Noblesville, IN, LouAnn Jordan (Rick) and Dennie Myers (Laurie) both of rural Williamsport, IN, and Janet Hutson (Tim) of Columbia, TN; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Everett was preceded in death by his wife, 2 sisters, Marjorie Myers and Beulah Pugh, and daughter-in-law, Deborah Myers.
Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Services will be there in the chapel on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastors Rod Andrews and Don Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tab Church of Christ.
