Pamela “Pam” J. (Vore) Black, age 64 of rural Attica, IN, formerly of rural Williamsport, IN, passed away at 6:54 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at her residence with her family by her side.
Pam was born October 10, 1951 in Peoria, IL to the late Bill & Norma (Conner) Vore. She graduated from Seeger High School. In 1968 she married Tom Mathews of Williamsport and they had 4 children, Mike Mathews (Kym) of Elk Creek, MO, Monica Larson of Attica, IN, Megan Ross (Shawn) of Marshfield, IN, and Miranda Klinger (Matt) of Pine Village, IN. She later married Larry Black in 2002 in Attica, IN.
Pam worked for MSD of Warren County for 15 years, Little Beverage Company for 5 years, and Carbondale Tavern for 22 years. She also cleaned homes for various people in the area. She loved people and enjoyed crafting, sewing, and going to yard sales. She adored being around her family, which she loved so much.
Also surviving is a sister, Judy Knutson (Steve) of Catlin, IL, 11 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild due in January.
The family will receive friends at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Sunday, October 9, 2016 from noon until service time at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Kenneth L. Ramsey and Brenda McIntosh officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be to the March of Dimes Premature Campaign or Autism Speaks.
