Freeman Bunch, age 80 of rural Williamsport, IN died at 4:10 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Rosewalk Village in Lafayette, IN.
Freeman was born in Fork Mountain, TN on November 10, 1935. He was the son of Fisher and Laura (Daugherty) Bunch. He grew up in Kentucky and Tennessee and moved to Hedrick, IN in 1956. He married Patricia J. Hines on September 8, 1956 in Hedrick, IN and she survives.
Freeman worked at the Judyville grain elevator for 14 ½ years. He was also a carpenter and worked for Dennis Stephen on his farm. He attended the Hedrick Assembly of God and most recently the Judyville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting and trapping. He loved country music.
Surviving with his wife, Patricia, are children, Christopher Bunch of Battle Ground, IN, Tim Bunch (Gail) of West Lebanon, IN, Tina Murdock (David) of Lafayette, IN, and Lisa Snedeker (Mike) of West Lafayette, IN; 2 sisters, Dorkus “Crickett” Short of Columbus, OH and Rosie Lively (Jim) of La Follette , TN; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Freeman was preceded in death by a daughter, Gina Brooks, grandson, Daniel Henry, 1 brother, Randy Bunch, and 5 sisters, Lora Oaks, Rita Poston, Gladys Moser, Freda Wiscomb, and Viola Welch.
Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Cathy McCoy officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date at West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Judyville United Methodist Church.
