Iva L. (Holden) Johnson, age 90 of Williamsport, IN went home to be with the Lord and her husband, Charles, at 1:12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital. Iva was born in Kingman, IN on November 21, 1925. She was the daughter of Francis and Celia Marie (Rusk) Holden. She was a Warren County residence for most of her life. On January 18, 1946 she married Charles T. Johnson in Williamsport, IN. He preceded her on March 26, 2013. She attended West Lebanon schools. Iva retired from Williamsport Community Hospital, currently St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital, in 1985. She was a member of the Attica Christian Church. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards and dancing. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are, 3 daughters, Kathy Taylor (Bill) of rural Williamsport, IN, Gayla Verhey (Gary) of Attica, IN, and Anita Miller (Craig) of Roachdale, IN; 7 grandchildren, Doug Taylor, Beth Snedeker (Bob), Kendra Ford, Matthew Lemming (Brooke), Robin McGrew (Max), Ashley Verhey, and Kari Lemming; 9 great-grandchildren, Lexi Snedeker, Rileigh Mulkey, Colin Ford, Owen Snedeker, Thomas Lemming, Chase Lemming, Vayda Renee McGrew, and twin boys on the way. Iva was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, Carl Holden, Clifford Holden, Paul Holden, Edna Trueblood, and Winnie Flesher, and son-in-law, Tom Lemming. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at noon with Pastor Bob Elness and grandson, Matthew Lemming officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be to the Warren County EMS, Hope Springs Women’s Shelter, or donor’s choice.
