Diana K. (Weltzin) Balser, age 72 of Williamsport, IN passed away at 7:02 a.m. on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Parkview Healthcare in Attica, IN. Diana was born on May 13, 1944 in Rensselaer, IN. She was the daughter of Wade and Ethel (Gentry) Weltzin. She was a graduate of Otterbein High School and was currently employed at TMF Center where she had worked for several years. On September 1, 1972 she married Robert Balser. He survives. Diana was a member of the Williamsport Christian Church. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and being outdoors. Her real passion was bowling and golfing, playing in several leagues over the years. She was proud of the 3 hole-in-ones and 5 eagles she had scored. Surviving with her husband, Bob, are 2 step-children, Greg Balser (Karen) of Fort Bragg, CA and Loretta Muzzy (Greg) of Grand Blanc, MI; siblings, Elvin Weltzin (Rosie) of Williamsport, IN, Peg Anderson (Jerry) of Boswell, IN, Connie Williams (Harlan) of NC and Bonnie Blessing (Wayne) of NC; 2 grandchildren, Brett Muzzy (Carly) of Plainfield, IL and Kristin LaFave (Jason) of Flint, MI; 3 great-grandchildren, Max Muzzy, Piper LaFave, and Luke LaFave; and several nieces and nephews. Diana was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Willhite. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jesse Stoner officiating. Private interment will follow at a later date at Rainsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Williamsport Christian Church.
