Ruth E. (Dekam) Inman

Ruth E. (Dekam) Inman, age 91 of Danville, IL, formerly of West Lebanon, IN, died on Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Waters of Covington. Ruth was born on February 22, 1925 in Kalamazoo, MI. She was the daughter of Cornelius and Rose (Zurawski) Dekam. She was a 1943 graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School. She married Howard Inman in State Line, IN on January 26, 1946 and he preceded her in death on August 15, 1995. Ruth worked at the jacket factory in Covington, IN, was a rural paper carrier for the Commercial News for 6 years and was a housewife. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Danville, IL where she loved to go to church. She loved to read and sew. She also enjoyed playing board games and working crossword puzzles. Surviving are, 3 sons, H. Brent Inman (Anne) of rural Williamsport, IN, David W. Inman of Danville, IL and John C. Inman (Lynne) of Covington, IN; 2 daughters, Brenda Wright (Stephen) of Greentown, IN and Nancy L. Inman of Danville, IL; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.  Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sisters, Margaret Johnston and Mildred Bridgewater, and 1 brother, Richard G. Dekam. Private graveside services will be held at West Lebanon Cemetery with Pastor Tom Hunter officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Nazarene World Missionary Society.
