Randy Rynell Garlin

Randy Rynell Garlin, age 63 passed away unexpectedly at his residence on November 16, 2016.Randy was born April 29, 1953 in Fountain County, IN. He grew up in Attica, and was a 1971 graduate of Attica High School. He then attended the Lincoln Technical Institute specializing in Diesel Mechanics. In 1983 Caterpillar Large Engine Center was opened and Randy began his employment there where he continued to work tirelessly for 33 years. Randy liked to take his family and explore the continental United States, making a yearly pilgrimage that eventually led to every state. As a younger man Randy enjoyed drag racing and could be found at Bunker Hill most weekends. He has always been a lover of music and collected it his whole life. There was nothing that could be taken apart that this mechanical wizard could not fix. Later in life Randy could be found most warm days tending to his immaculate yard. Randy was tireless and steadfast in providing for his family or providing peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the countless squirrels that he befriended. Randy leaves behind a loving wife of 40 years, Sherry Garlin, a son, Ryan Garlin, a brother, Rick Garlin, sister-in-law, Kay Barnett, brother-in-laws, Donnie and Ronnie Barnett, and a grandson, River Garlin. As a lover of animals Randy also leaves behind, Loki, Daisy, Klaus, and Minnie. At this time there will be no services. There will be a memorial service held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Paws-n-claws in Attica, IN.
