Jack Lee Abbott

Jack Lee Abbott, age 71 of West Lebanon, IN died at 12:12 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital. Jack was born on April 10, 1945 in Danville, IL. He was the son of Howard E. and Eva B. (Wynn) Abbott, Sr. He graduated from Armstrong High School in 1963. He had previously lived in Collison, Fithian and Rossville, IL before moving to Warren County in 1993. On June 13, 1993 he married Josefina Lopez at the West Lebanon Christian Church. Jack served in the US Army in Germany. He worked at Hyster from 1967 until 2007. Jack was a member of the West Lebanon Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and the outdoors. Surviving are, 2 children, Becky Ness (Ed) of Danville, IL and Jason Abbott (Barb); 1 step-daughter, Isidra Kay Griffith (Matt) of Attica, IN; siblings, Gene Abbott (Barbara) of Collison, IL, Mary Ann Schlueter (Melvin) of St. Joseph, IL, and Jay Abbott (Linda) of Covington, IN; 4 grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren.  Jack was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, John Robert Abbott. Visitation will be at West Lebanon Christian Church on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Services will be there on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. with Minister Bruce Thornsbrough officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to West Lebanon Christian Church.
