Willa P. (Patton) Jordan, age 90 of Williamsport, IN died at 3:15 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at IU Health Hospital in Lafayette, IN one day short of her 91st birthday. Willa was born in Greenville, OH on February 10, 1926. She was the daughter of Cecil and Mabel (Cunningham) Patton. She was a 1944 graduate of West Lebanon High School. On March 3, 1946 she married Max D. Jordan in Marshfield, IN on the Patton Farm. He preceded her in death on March 23, 2003. Willa worked at Harrison Steel Casting Co and later at the Williamsport Community Hospital for 7 ½ years where she was a dietician. She had attended the Williamsport United Methodist Church most of her life and had recently attended the Attica-Williamsport Evangelical Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed chair caning, basket making, and refinishing furniture. She enjoyed music both at church and at her home. Surviving are, 4 daughters, Sandy DeVault (Carl) of Williamsport, IN, Ena G. Scott of Lafayette, IN, Pamela K. Summers (Gordon) of Covington, IN, and Mable Ann Chambless (Sim) of Pulaski, TN; 1 son, Max L. Jordan of Attica, IN; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 2 step-great-grandchildren. Willa was preceded in death by her husband, Max, grandsons, Brendan Jordan and Byron Scott, sisters, Margaret Bailey and Betty VanLeer, and brother, Robert Patton. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 1:00 until service time at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles B. Anderson and Pastor Shawn Carafa officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers it was Willa’s wish that memorial contributions be made to His Mission, 28 N. Monroe St., Williamsport, IN.
