Jack V. Goodrich, 79, died Thursday, August 27, 2009, at a nursing center in Abilene, Texas.
Born in Konawa, Oklahoma on August 31, 1929, Jack was the son of Freda Rebecca (Pairret) and Frank Goodrich. He was a U. S. Army veteran, and worked in the oilfields as a driller. Since 1980, he had been a resident of Abilene, where he was a member of Beltway Park Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jackie Howard Goodrich, in 2002; his parents; two brothers, Larkin Goodrich and Ralph Goodrich; and three sisters, Ada Mae Marvelli, Mary Clark and Wanda Williams.
Jack is survived by his wife, Theda Goodrich of Abilene; son, Bruce Goodrich and wife, Trina, of Covington, Indiana; daughter, Gail Brenneman and husband, Robert, of Rensselaer, Indiana; brothers, Escar “Eck” Goodrich and wife, Gloria, of Konawa, Oklahoma, and Charlie Goodrich of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Thursday, September 3, 2009 from 10 a.m. EST until service time at noon EST with Pastor Herb Smith officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Covington, Indiana with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Beltway Park Baptist Church Building Fund, 4009 Beltway South, Abilene, TX 79606.
