Theodore “Bully” Britton, Sr., age 83, of West Lebanon, IN died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 18, 2017. Ted was born on December 22, 1933 in Kennett, MO. He was the son of Ira and Edith (Jones) Britton. He married Mary Eileen Manus in St. Louis, MO on July 7, 1956 and she preceded him in death on May 25, 2010. Ted served in the United States Army and was stationed in Fort Leonard Wood, MO. While serving in the Army he worked for Dad’s Rootbeer. He moved to Pence, IN in 1962 where he farmed for Matt Martin. He left the agriculture field and worked at Bohn Aluminum, Danville, IL retiring in 1997. Ted was recently attending the West Lebanon Christian Church and a member of the F&AM. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He enjoyed working on vehicles. Surviving are, 2 children, Diana Abolt (Jeff) of Attica, IN and Theodore Britton, Jr. (Annette) of Battle Ground, IN; siblings, Johnny Britton (Isabel) of Oceanside, CA, JR Britton (Velma) of Winfield, MO, Betty Kay Armes of Collinsville, IL and Ruth Reie (Jack) of MO; 9 grandchildren, Tina, Lisa, Stephen, Todd, Valarie, Ted III, Tyler, Katie, Matthew; and 12 great-grandchildren, Cayden, Ashley, Gracie, Landen, Logan, Eden, Owen, Sofia, Elijah, Cash, Rosie, and Allie. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Edith Landerth Britton, and siblings, Lester Price, Ira Britton, Ermalee Compton, and Buck Britton. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until service time at 7:00 p.m. with Ron Batts officiating. Full military honors will follow at the funeral home at the conclusion of the service. Private inurnment will be at West Lebanon Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association.
