Bobbie J. (Bennett) Cox

Bobbie J. (Bennett) Cox, age 67 of West Lebanon, IN died at 3:20 pm on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Home Hospital in Lafayette, IN Bobbie was born in Harlan County, Kentucky on August 15, 1942. She was the daughter of Ben and Eve (Hembree) Bennett. She grew up in Kentucky and moved to Attica in 1960. She lived a couple of years in Hillsboro and then moved to West Lebanon where she resided the past 31 years. On December 7, 1962 she married James M. Cox in Hedrick, IN. He preceded her in death in 1978. Surviving are, 2 daughters, Deborah S. Clark (husband: Arnold) and Janet L. Cox, both of West Lebanon; Fiancée, Jerry Land of West Lebanon; 7 brothers, Silas Bennett of West Lebanon, Roger Bennett of Attica, IN, Ben Bennett, James Bennett, Kenny Bennett, Bruce Bennett and Vernon Bennett all of Harlan County, KY; 4 sisters, Maggie Smith and Cindy Perkins of Harlan County, KY, Brenda Betancourt of West Lebanon, and Vicky Greenwood of Jacksonville, FL; 3 grandchildren, Kerri, James and Jessica Clark; and 3 great-grandchildren, Keisha Inman and Jansyn and Jadyn Clark. Bobbie was preceded in death by 1 brother and 1 sister. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in West Lebanon on Sunday, September 13, 2009 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Services will be there in the chapel on Monday, September 14, 2009 at 11:00 am with Pastor Harold Varner officiating. Interment will be at West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
