Thomas “Tom” Wagner, age 64 of Williamsport, died at 7:00 pm CST on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at the VA Medical Center in Danville, IL.
Tom was born in Williamsport, IN on April 1, 1945. He was the son of Richard and Alta (Kennedy) Wagner. He was a 1963 graduate of Williamsport High School and later graduated from Indiana Barber College in Indianapolis, IN. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Geiger during the Vietnam Era for 4 years. He was brigade commander at Recruit Training Command US Naval Training Center in Great Lakes, IL. He was a barber on the ship. Later he worked for C & D Battery in Attica, IN.
Tom was a sports fan of basketball, football, and hockey. He was a life member of the VFW Fountain Warren County Post #3318 Attica and a member of the American Legion Post #259 Williamsport.

1 son, Robert Anthony Gewsein of West Lafayette, IN
2 brothers, Terry Wagner (wife: Kim) of Williamsport, IN and Tim Wagner (wife: Helen) of Kenosha, Wisconsin
6 grandchildren, Kati, Kyle, Tyler, Gavin, Olivia, and Whitney
1 great-grandson

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Richard Wagner.
Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Saturday, December 19, 2009 from noon until service time at 2:00 pm with Rev. Charles B. Anderson and Rev. Cathy McCoy officiating. Full military honors will be held at the funeral home immediately following the funeral service. Private interment will follow at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Warren County Community Foundation.
