Norman R Hamilton

Norman R. Hamilton, 87, of Perrysville, IN, passed away 9:47 am Wednesday December 30, 2009 at Seton Specialty Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. He was born July 13, 1922 in Hartford, Kentucky the son of Lorenza and Sadie Ann (Wedding) Hamilton. Norman was first married to Blanche Bainbridge in 1942 and she preceded him in death. He married Billie Ruth McGee June 16, 1974 in Danville, Illinois; she preceded him in death March 15, 2007. He is also preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Louis Hamilton, a daughter, Barbara Jean Hamilton, and a step-son Daryl W. Jackson. Surviving family includes three sons, Norman L. “Larry” Hamilton & Dennis W.(Carolyn) Hamilton, both of West Gary, IN; Allen D. (Judy) Hamilton, Georgia; one daughter, Linda Novak, Perrysville, IN; a step-daughter Sandra Hammond, Lafayette, IN; one brother Edward Hamilton, Hartford, KY; sister-in-law, Virginia Hamilton, Williamsport, IN; eight grandchildren, Norman (Crista) Long, Mark (Amber) Hamilton, Leslie Abel, Shannon Hamilton, Tyson (LeAnn) Ricky, Billie Ruth Jackson, Ashley Jasper, Amanda Goodnight and twelve great-grandchildren. Norman was employed for twenty years as an electrician for Inland Steel in East Chicago, IN until his retirement in 1965. Funeral service will be 5:00 PM Monday January 4, 2010 at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport, IN with Rev. Michael E. Harville officiating.
